Pima cotton is widely known as the most soft and luxurious cotton in the world.
So what is Pima cotton?
Pima cotton is a long staple cotton that is soft to the touch, resistant to tearing, wrinkling, fading, and fraying. The cotton produces a smooth fabric used in linens in many five star hotels around the world.
Pima cotton is grown in three regions around the globe, which are Peru, Australia, and yes the good old United States of America.
The Wall Street Journal released an article stating that "The Cotton Egypt Association, which licenses the trademark and certifies suppliers, estimates that 90% of products labeled ‘Egyptian cotton’ are fakes". There are similar issues with Pima cotton where the cotton is often not verified. Products that are made of such a high quality material like Pima cotton will almost always be under attack by fakes and imposters. My Happi Place ensures that we are using the real deal Pima cotton.
